What ad sales trend is gaining the most momentum in B2B? Mobile ads. Is mobile part of your media ad sales pie? If not, you’re falling behind.
Mobile saw the largest jump YOY in number of advertisers compared to other digital ad formats, increasing by an estimated 77% from 2015 according to measurements by MediaRadar. And it’s not surprising, given average time spent on mobile devices. According to Informate Mobile Intelligence, U.S. adults spend a staggering 4.7 hours a day on their phones—that’s nearly one third of their day. The trend spans both consumer and B2B, even Facebook which targets consumers AND businesses, received 84% of their revenue from mobile advertising.
If you haven’t started selling mobile advertising, now is the time! Your audience is on their mobile device during their daily commute, at work, at dinner and during their weekend downtime.
In B2B, early adopter categories for mobile are software and finance publishing, with 384 and 273 advertisers, respectively. Other top industries that you can target for B2B ad sales include colleges, professional associations, and consulting.
